Immeasurable Love

Dec 21, 2025    Werner Swart

Exploring God´s love challenges us to reconsider everything we think we know about love itself. Beginning in Ephesians 3:18, we discover that God's love has dimensions beyond human measurement—it's wider than we can reach around, deeper than we can fathom, and higher than we can climb. The Apostle Paul prays that we would have the power to grasp something that paradoxically surpasses all knowledge. This isn't love as Hollywood defines it or as our culture commodifies it. This is love rooted in the very nature of God, who IS love. We're invited to consider seven profound aspects: God's love is immeasurable, beyond comprehension, limitless and new every morning, unending regardless of our failures, and unbreakable by any circumstance. The message confronts our modern love deficit—the epidemic of loneliness, depression, and relational brokenness that intensifies during holiday seasons. We're reminded that we cannot manufacture this kind of love through human effort alone. Romans 5:5 offers the solution: God's love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. This isn't about trying harder to love difficult people or fix broken relationships through willpower. It's about surrendering to the transformative power of divine love flowing through us, enabling us to love as God loves—sacrificially, unconditionally, eternally.
